Welcome to the Westwood Washington Township Education Foundation!

The Education Foundation is an independent non-profit organization which was established in 1991 to enhance the quality of education in grades K - 12 in Westwood and WashingtonTownship through:

  • Improving the learning environment
  • Promoting educational excellence
  • Sponsoring cultural and educational opportunities
  • Increasing interaction between the schools and community

Our children are our future and the strength of a community is reflected in its school system. To better educate our children and to maintain the attractiveness of Westwood and Washington Township as places to live and learn, get involved:

  • Make a tax-deductible monetary contribution

 GALA HISTORY
As a result of the last 4 Gala's the Education Foundation has donated nearly $250,000 to our school district - $35,000 to each elementary school and the middle school, and $70,000 to the Jr. Sr. High School!
 
On March 16th, 2011 we held our 4th annual event which raised $63,000 will all proceeds benefiting the district's visual performing arts curriculum.

On March 4th, 2010 we held our 3rd and most successful event with well over 400 people in attendance.  We donated $73,500 to our schools to enhance the district's science curriculum and purchased science activity kits for the elementary schools, microscopes and equipment for the middle school, and probes and data loggers for the Jr./Sr. High School.

On March 5th, 2009 the Education Foundation held its 2nd Annual Gala with over 400 people in attendance. The Education Foundation raised over $56,000 and donated $8,000 to each school in our district to their respective media centers (library), for both books and technology (smart boards, computers, etc)

At our 1st Annual Gala on March 4, 2008, we raised $42,000 which allowed us to donate two smartboards, two document cameras, and two projection devices to each school.
