When I first got into teaching 13 years ago, I figured that the job would become routine at this point. Boy, was I wrong! The field of biology has expanded so much in the past five years that the curriculum has had to undergo many changes to keep up. Topics such as genetics, cloning, and global warming have gone from taking up 2-3 pages of a textbook to being devoted entire units! On top of that, my forensic science course has quickly opened a whole new world of opportunities in the fields of medicine, law, and law enforcement for a number of seniors. It’s an exciting time to be a biology teacher!
Each course has it's own webpage. I have decided to use the webpage like a twitter page... nothing will be deleted, updates will be at the top of the page, link to forms, notes, and labs will also be included this year. Finally, since we don't meet every class daily anymore, I may post items that relate to a specific class so check back every evening for updates!
I also have pages devoted to my JV soccer teams from 2007-present. Feel free to see how my teams have fared over the past three seasons.
