   The Westwood World Languages department consists of 15 state certified Spanish and French teachers grades 1 through 12. Students in grades 1 through 5 receive forty minutes of weekly instruction in Spanish and French. In grade 6  students select to study either Spanish or French at the Westwood Regional Middle School and receive daily World Language instruction. Students continue this language of study until 9th grade at which time they may continue, change languages or study both Spanish and French simultaneously. Multiple levels and entry points are provided in order to accommodate a diversity of student ability and interest levels. Advanced placement courses are offered for college credit in both French and Spanish.
