Highlights

·         Each grade level owns three-week unit plans that are grade specific

·         Fitness assessment three times per year

·         Freshman year introduction to Fitness Facility and Proper Training techniques

·         Freshman year – introduction to Project Adventure Low Elements – a challenge by choice program

·         Sophomore year - Drive Alive at 25, A nationally recognized Safety Program

·         Junior year – Introduction to Project Adventure High Elements Course, CPR Certification

·         Senior year – Family Living – Participation in the Baby Project, a life like experience for caring for life with a baby, personal safety course preparing students for college life

Vision

·         Fitness Gram is being introduced at the lower levels and within 2 years every student will have an individualized data driven exercise program

·         New schedule allows for smaller class sizes and a greater level of activity per class

·         Integration of Smartboard technology into the curriculum

·         Alignment expectations exceeding the NJ Core Curriculum Standards

·         Introduced and inspired to participate in lifetime activities
