2018-19 School Performance Reports

On March 11, the New Jersey Department of Education made publically available the state’s School Performance Reports for the 2018-2019 school year. They are available on the NJ School Performance Reports webpage at www.njschooldata.org

The School Performance Reports reflect the New Jersey Department of Education’s (NJDOE) commitment to providing parents, students and school communities with a large variety of information about each school and district. These reports can be used as a tool to help evaluate whether all students have equitable access to high-quality education. We encourage you to use these reports to learn more about your school and district.

Along with the Detailed Reports, one-page Summary Reports for each school and district are available. The Summary Reports provide a high-level summary of how well a school or district is performing.

Here are some highlights from our district-level report:

  • Our students’ growth compares to students’ growth in other districts. Westwood Regional has met the expectations for growth in both ELA and Math.

  • A total of 8% of our students are identified as being chronically absent, compared to the 11% state average.

  • Our 4-year graduation rate is 97.6%, which meets the state’s goal.

  • In ELA, 76% of our students met expectations on statewide assessments. Moreover, a total of 58% of our students met expectations on the math statewide assessments.

  • Our students are college and career ready. We exceed the state averages for enrollment in AP courses, dual enrollment courses, and college enrollment.

We encourage parents and guardians to look at this valuable information about our district and schools. Overall, we are very proud of our performance.
