Mrs. Oldak’s Kindergarteners are really enjoying Reading Workshop time. They are learning how to put a “pinch of me” in their stories as they read, use sticky notes to mark pages that made them think of their own lives, and practice reading like a teacher! #BESTatBrookside

First graders are enjoying free time at the end of their weekly Media special with Mrs. Eliason. During free time students can play with LEGOs and Magnetic Tiles to make fun creations or read the books they have just checked out at the library. #BESTatBrookside

Kindergarteners in Ms. Morales' class are learning that we are ALL readers. We can read symbols, pictures, and signs. We are growing our reading skills while learning all about the world in amazing picture books too! #BESTatBrookside

Today Director of Special Services, Mr. Renshaw, and Assistant Director, Dr. Gluck, facilitated a co-teaching workshop for Brookside staff. They discussed how to build strong co-teaching relationships and the most effective models of instruction for our learners. #BESTatBrookside
