For Writing Workshop, 2F showed how writers create engaging book characters thanks to a fun virtual drawing lesson by Diary of a Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney!! The children are so excited to compose stories featuring their own fictional characters!!

Thank you to each and every family who supported our Coin Challenge last week! We were able to raise nearly $4000 to fund our Kindergarten Basket of Books Program, as well as a special first grade program to make up for those who missed it last year due to Covid. Yesterday we celebrated with a school-wide PJ Day!
Kudos to the amazing staff at Washington School who successfully evacuated all of our students safely today! Township Police and Fire Depts. responded immediately and provided amazing support. A huge thank you to Girl Scout Troop 98195, who donated this beautiful Cherry Tree to Washington School. This tree was planted on Saturday, September 11 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11. This beautiful tree will stand in front of Washington awaiting our return!

The outpouring of love from our community has been amazing! I can't tell you how many times I have heard in the last few days "how can we help?"
