Our Science Department was joined by Kim Moreno from Elevate Educators. The focus of the presentation was on "How to redesign biology, chemistry, physics lessons, & 8th grade to be Inquiry Based" Included were resources for CCC's, SEP's, and differentiated instruction.
Our Math Department was joined by Denis Sheeran from Rutger discussing techniques used for student engagement at the start of class, the creation of and interaction with relevant and engaging lesson activities, & differentiating instructional approach and assessment.
Teachers Ray Piskadlo and Corrie Kemple hosted an AP Environmental and AP Biology Round Table for both Bergen and Essex counties. Some of the schools that attended were Northern Highlands Regional, Parsippany Hills, Cedar Grove, Bloomfield, and Hasbrouck Heights.

Mr. Miller's 8th Grade Engineering students are working on completing their Rube Goldberg group projects! Students collaborated to create a working Rube Goldberg that implemented 2 machines, 3 core technologies, & at least 3 different stages in their project!
Mr. Miller's Digital Electronics students are in the process of completing a soldering project (rolling digital clock). Students needed to solder 35 LEDs & a digital processor integrated circuit!

The Italian Club’s Pasta Dinner was a great success! Students, parents, and teachers ate a diverse array of pasta dishes and played trivia based on the Italian Language and Culture. Thank you Ms. Halter and Ms. Petrillo for planning a fun evening!
