
We feel the LOVE and are thrilled to report that Berkeley joined 19 million other students in 115 countries for the 2023 Great Kindness Challenge!


Senior, Ryan Van Auken as part of the Work Based Learning Program has been assisting at Foundations Physical Therapy in Washington Township. Ryan will be attending Ithaca College in the fall to study Exercise Science.


Last week, students in Ms. Ondrof's High School English classes went to see the Broadway play & Juliet, a new musical based on Romeo & Juliet. It was great to see Shakespeare, an adaptation of his story, and dramatic elements come to life on a professional stage!


Students in Materials Science 2 assemble window screen kits and learn how to repair torn screens.


Madison Carrier, a senior participant in our Work Based Learning program, is interning/working at A Little Cake in Park Ridge. She will be attending Johnson & Wales University in the fall where she will be studying for a career in baking & pastry in the culinary sector.


Thank you Mrs. Petersen for arranging hand washing presentations from Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission. A blue light and glow germs were used to demonstrate effective hand washing to first graders.

Thank you to our ELL parents for coming to our Parent Meeting with Ms. Astudillo. Programs, services, WRSD details and more were presented to parents to help support their children's progress and success.

The art department participated in a new exhibit and contest called Young Expressions at the Art Center of Northern NJ. The following students were selected to represent Westwood Regional H.S. Greta Gashler, Danielle DeSantis - Drawing, Claire Eo - Painting, Michael Cordo - Mixed Media,
Ryan Van Auken - Photography, Kaitlyn Park - Sculpture, Danielle DeSantis was awarded 1st place in Drawing. Greta Gashler was awarded 3rd place Best in Show. We are so proud of all of the students and the quality and creativity they exhibit in their work.




JFG celebrated the consistent demonstration of perseverance, kindness, respect, and growth among our students! The Principal's Award recognizes ALL the amazing characteristics of our students!





The Great Kindness Challenge


High School students observed Brain & Spinal surgeries live-streamed to the Liberty Science Center from Summit Medical Center. Students interacted with the presenters asking great questions and gained knowledge about careers in biotechnology, medical science, and medicine.
