Giana LaKomy is participating in the Work-Based Learning Program at Westwood High School. As part of the program, she works with Mrs.Tadiellos' 2nd-grade class at Brookside School. Giana is pursuing a degree in elementary education.


Mrs. Menken's Physics class using sticks and bowling balls to feel the direction of an object's acceleration when an unbalanced force is applied to the object.


The varsity debate team enjoyed competing at the virtual competition hosted by Becton H.S.. Congratulations to Gillian Siccardi for taking home an award for best judge!! We are so proud of our growing team and can't wait to see what the rest of this season brings. GO CARDS!!!


Mr. Adkins 5th grade students completed their unit on Ecosystems with some amazing dioramas!

Our 3rd graders took a virtual field trip with the Township of Washington Public Library’s Children’s Department! They got a tour of the library, learned about library cards, and Ms. Marie read them a mystery story.

Wellness Wednesdays are fun for all!



A few of our 9th grade students participating in the Academic Skills Development Workshops hosted by the guidance department. Today’s topic was, Introduction to Organizing with Mrs, Suri. Next week’s topic will be Study Skills. All 9th graders are welcome!


Universal Technical Institute (UTI) visited the high school today. Students were shown all of the programs they offer in the auto industry including automotive training, engine repair, welding, painting, motorcycle, marine repair, and many more. https://www.uti.edu/


Thank you Epilepsy Services of New Jersey and Mrs. Petersen for the presentation for fifth graders in recognition of Epilepsy Awareness Month.

Students in Mrs. Menken's Physics class are exploring the concept of Inertia - an object's resistance to its change in motion.


Students in Ms. Gilbert's and Mr. O'Connor's Chemistry class examine the physical properties of elements to identify some unknowns.




Special thanks to the @WashTwpPolice for speaking to our 3rd graders about fingerprinting and collecting evidence to solve a mystery. They loved kicking off the Mystery Unit in Reading Workshop!
