Students in Ms. Hartwick’s Biology classes are learning about stimulus and response of various organisms. To demonstrate this, students are calculating their reaction times.





Mr. DeBlasio’s Honor’s Design Thinking Class were designing different wearable objects to represent the various “design thinking” mindsets. The goal of the activity is to use these mindsets to help the students with the design process throughout the rest of the semester.





Students in Mr. Chen's Physics class use whiteboards (affectionately named Thinkboards) to answer questions and share with the class. The boards help the class see what everyone is thinking and allows the class to reflect and learn from their mistakes more efficiently.



Riley Ehrenfels, a senior at Westwood High School, started his Work Based Learning at Hywel Plumbing. Riley plans to further his plumbing career after graduation. Great experience for our students!


Charlotte Beinert, a senior participant in the Work Based Learning Program, is interning/working at Rispoli's Bakery in Emerson. Charlotte is working alongside the bakers in daily activities. She will be pursuing a career in baking/pastry in the culinary sector after graduation.


Great job by our Guidance Department presenting to seniors and their parents last night discussing a wealth of information regarding the college application process.





Ms. McKaba's Chemistry class takes on not one but three labs to get their minds thinking scientifically for this year in Chemistry: the Mystery Egg Lab, the Rainbow Volume Lab, and the M&M Percent Error Lab.




Marist College visiting the high school today! Washington & Jefferson College, Rockland Community College, Univ. of Maine, Babson Collège, Virginia Polytech Institute, & Univ. of Rochester all visiting this week. Gradees 10,11,12 sign up for college visits through naviance.


Members of the football team helped out at St. Andrew's Church over the weekend moving over 500 chairs and countless tables to help setup for their annual picnic. Cardinal Pride!


Students in Mr. Tresvalles' Engineering classes are showcasing their drawing skills by recreating photographs they took in the high school's courtyard!

College Visits are up and running at the high school. George Washington University visited today. Reminder for students in grades 10,11,12 to check naviance for upcoming visits. See your counselor if you have any questions.


Students in Mr. Chen's Physics class are going metric by competing in the Metric Olympics. Events include the Doodah Grab, Sponge Squeeze, Straw Javelin and Long Jump (pictured here) where students measure various physical quantities using the metric system of measurements.
