Westwood School Counseling invites K-8 Parents to "Parent's Guide to Growth Mindset” The program provides an opportunity to learn strategies to understand, develop, and promote a growth mindset for yourself and your children. Care Plus clinicians will teach effective communication strategies and coping skills to help you support your child. They will include information related to your child’s development and how this impacts their ability to meet appropriate milestones and regulate their emotions. During this presentation, you will learn how to approach your child mindfully and decrease conflict in setting expectations and helping your child succeed. A big thank you to the PSO who helped to create a new educational opportunity. Through a mini grant, Ms. Morrison was able to order Virtual Reality Glasses for her World History class. The students learned about Gothic Cathedrals in Medieval Europe and took a virtual tour!

WWRSD Special Education Parents Advisory Group (SEPAG) is hosting another virtual meeting next Wednesday, February 7th, 6pm. The NJ Dept. of Human Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities, will present "Navigating the DDD System." This one-hour webinar will include a Q&A session and will explain the types of services, support and opportunities available after schooling ends.
