Arianna Ragno has been supporting Brookside Elementary School through our Work Based Learning Program. She has been learning about the different facets of teaching & assists in developing lessons & seeing them through to completion. She plans on majoring in elementary education.


Jessica Campos, a senior in our Work Based Learning Program, is interning at Care One of Ridgewood as a recreation assistant. She assists the recreation director with the residents' social programs. After graduation, Jessica plans to pursue a nursing degree.


Thank you to middle school counselor Christie Androulakis for speaking with our fifth-graders today! Your engaging advice on electives and scheduling inspired our students to discover their passions and eagerly anticipate the exciting next chapter of their academic journey!


We may be in the 2024-2025 school year but our counseling department alongside administration are preparing students for next year scheduling. This week our high school counselors met with all grade 9 and 10 students to review their transcripts as well as select/prioritize courses for the 2025-2026 school year. Students in Mr. Gunneson's High School Materials Science 2 class put the finishing touches on bistro tables for the Woodington Players' upcoming production of "Mamma Mia".

The Students in Ms. Morrison's World History class dove into the Middle Ages this past month! Students were asked to design their own stained glass windows turning the classroom windows into beautiful "cathedral like" windows.




Barbara Montes-Ocelotl has been working at the Westwood Borough Hall in the social services department through our Work Based Learning Program. She intends to take this experience and major in Social Work to become a Clinical Social Worker. Great experience!

Brookside students are making the most of the break in the cold weather! From soccer and basketball games to fun on the playground and the Gaga pit, there's something for everyone to enjoy outside! Playtime is always better with friends, no matter the chill! #BESTatBrookside

Jordan Miceli and Gabrielle Kopp are both interning at Oradell Animal Hospital through our Work Based Learning Program. In addition to actively caring for the animals at the hospital, they have observed several operations and as well as other procedures. Gabrielle will be majoring in environmental science and Jordan intends to major in veterinary science.


8th graders went to Segovia Restaurant to experience a traditional Spanish meal of Paella. Students had a great time sampling a taste of Spain!




7th graders enjoyed a Hispanic Flamenco Ballet show in Tarrytown, NY. The students were able to practice the dance moves with the interactive portion of the performance. Fun was had by all as they were dancing in the aisles and clapping along to the dances!




Bergenfield High School invites students and parents in Bergen County to their College Fair on February 26, 2025 to meet with college/university representatives from over 90+ institutions. College fair takes place in Bergenfield HS Gym from 7-9:00pm.


Rutgers NJ Medical School Summer Youth Scholars Program (SYSP), an enriching academic journey designed for rising 11th and 12th grade students who have a passion for STEM. Throughout the program, participants delve into SAT preparation, learn about anatomy and physiology, engage in research presentations, explore college, engage in wellness activities, and gain insights into the field of medicine.
2025 Program Date and Duration
In-person from June 30 - August 8, 9 am to 3:30 pm. Participants must commit to the program's schedule for the entire six weeks without exception.
Acceptance into the program is on a rolling basis, meaning spaces may fill up before the official deadline. Therefore, we encourage applicants to submit their materials promptly.
Application Deadline is April 18, 2025
