The World Cultures club held their most recent virtual meeting to discuss Central African culture. We learned about common foods, local instruments, clothing and more! Members couldn't mask their excitement!


Mrs. Zalarick’s science students are learning about the impact daily activities have on our individual and collective pollution footprint. Students add drops of colored water for each activity they engage in that gives off different types of air pollution.

JFG students have begun preparations for Celebrating Diversity Through the Arts! Their journey has begun with the beautiful art of Mehndi from India! They designed a pair of gloves in preparations for their musical performance. Stay tuned!

Wellness Wednesday - JFG Staff is GLOWing with their glow sticks & dark chocolate covered blueberries. Our teachers & staff light up OUR school.



Mrs. Salvi's kindergarteners listened to "The Story of Ruby Bridges" and followed up with a graphic organizer activity. They came up with amazing words to describe her!



JFG 3rd graders were so excited to celebrate the amazing aviation pioneer, Bessie Coleman, who was the first African American Female pilot in the United States over 100 year ago!



Mrs. Basovsky's 3rd graders at Brookside School participated in a Math Zoom Workshop, with Greg Tang (@gregtangmath) and over 900 other students, learning about word problems!


1st graders at Berkeley are getting ready to celebrate Valentine's Day! We're reading poems and decorating our valentine boxes.




Fourth graders are learning about subtracting mixed numbers.


Third graders attended their first virtual class trip to Tenafly Nature Center to learn about the Lenni Lenape Native American tribe.


Third grade students created pictographs and using Padlet, posed questions for peers to solve about them.



AP French students and students from our partner school in Montpellier, France presented posters to each other in real-time today. Awareness of global environmental issues was the theme of the posters and presentations.


Fourth graders are using fraction strips to find equivalent fractions!


Fifth graders are integrating Black History Month into their Literary Essay Unit with theme and evidence. "It's okay to be afraid, but don't let it stop you!"


Environmental Engineering Students finished their course with Off the Grid Projects. Students researched a country and designed a sustainable architectural structure using local materials with a renewable energy source.
