The Interscholastic Esports season in the High School Esports League & Garden State Esports has started, and we have 30+ Cardinals representing Westwood across 7 different games. Goals for the program include making runs in the Playoffs & returning to Nationals in Kansas City!

In Mrs. Schama's Science class, students simulated completing specific tasks (tying shoes, putting on a shirt, wrapping a present, putting hair up, and cutting paper) with a broken arm in a sling. This helped us realize the importance of biomedical engineering in our lives.




The High School Debate Team concluded their best season yet at the varsity invitational tournament this past Friday at Ridgefield Park High School. Captains Angel Morales and Daniel Shotkin qualified for the championship round at the end of the tournament and earned a second-place trophy for best team!! Daniel Shotkin also walked away with a second-place trophy for best speaker. While our team is sad to see the season end, we are excited to find out next year's topic at our next team meeting. GO CARDS!!!!


On Friday, March 8th, Students observed cardiac coronary bypass surgery from the Morristown Medical Center live streamed to the Liberty Science Center. Our students interacted with the surgical team, learned about procedures, introduced to careers in the health field, and risk factors that could lead to coronary disease.
