
Four students represented the Westwood Regional High School GSA Club at the 5th Annual LGBTQ+ Bergen County Leadership Summit. This event, sponsored by the county, unites GSAs from all around Bergen and gives them the opportunity to learn leadership skills and connect with students with similar goals.


Today we had a special extra Cool Cardinals drawing so that students could try out "Inchy" our new Book Vending Machine, purchased by our wonderful 2021-2023 Washington PSO! We look forward to doing lots of surprise drawings throughout the year to recognize our awesome students!

Everyone Belongs! Grade 5 students learn and understand different ways we are similar and ways we are different throughout the year. Since December is Disability Awareness Month, students learned how and why Braille is used and practiced writing their name.

Mrs. Mosery’s 3rd graders are working hard as mystery detectives and writers of opinion essays. They're making predictions, timelines, and solving mysteries. They're also formulating opinions with reasons. These reading and writing units are always a blast! #BESTatBrookside

Mrs. Oldak’s Kindergarteners had so much fun going on a leaf collecting walk to culminate our science unit on trees. We found so many types of leaves. We then had so much fun sorting them in many different ways…like by color, by shape, and by size. #BESTatBrookside

Chloe Wozny is participating in our Work Based Learning Program. As part of the program, she assisted in 1st grade with Ms. Mazanec at George School. Chloe is pursuing a degree in elementary education. Great experience!
